The Power of Giving: Strengthening Our Community Together

At Hawaiʻi Island United Way, we know that the strength of our community comes from people helping people. Through the 2026–2027 Power of Giving Campaign, we are uniting donors, businesses, and community members to support two critical priorities: investing in the work of our nine nonprofit partner agencies focused on food and housing security throughout Hawaiʻi Island  and helping our communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. Each year, Hawaiʻi Island United Way invests in trusted local organizations that provide essential services to our neighbors. 

Our nonprofit partners work every day to improve lives through programs that support health, education, financial stability, housing, food security, and services for children, families, and kūpuna. As our island continues to face increasing challenges—from economic hardship to natural disasters and emergencies—the need for local support has never been greater. 

When disaster strikes, Hawaiʻi Island United Way mobilizes resources, coordinates assistance, and works with community partners to ensure that help reaches those who need it most.
